vendor some what dissapointments...what would you do...
So far two of my vendors did not come through on what they were supposed to do for the day of my wedding....it didn't make or break the big day, but i am annoyed that we agreed on certain things and the day of...it was not done. Both who i am referring to did do well....but am just annoyed that it was not done how we agreed it should be....
ie..things that were told to me that would be done were not...i am the only one who noticed...is it worth calling them to address?? I mean at this stage, what;s the point???
sorry to babble...it just frustrates me that you spend all of this time planning and you expect certain things..and then the day of it is not there,....

We were unhappy with our DJ. We felt like we paid a lot, and he not only was not great, but made a few key mistakes. So we called the DJ company AND our hall, since they were a house vendor. They shouldn't ride on their reputation, so I felt like JT should know we were disappointed. It didn't do anything, but made us feel better. Also, hopefully if more upset brides let halls know of their disappointments, these vendors will be recommended less and less.

that's a good point...both were nice to us..i am just annoyed that you meet with these people to discuss endless detail and in the end..it wasn't done!

I would address the issues with the vendors, even if its just for the sake of getting it out in the open with them

Has anyone used Aldo photography and Video located in Brooklyn for their wedding day? If so, any comments will be appreciated. I booked them today and was wondering if anyone had any reviews. Thanks.

Many brides on theknot.com used Aldo...check out their reviews.
My friend Andrea used them for her wedding in August, and unfortunately was not happy with their work. She felt it was too traditional, and that they were very unorganized on the day of her wedding.

I couldn't agree more. I am planning to complain to a couple of vendors myself.

i think you should voice the complaints to your vendors... i would be honest with them, because even though it doesn't 'fix' anything, persay... maybe something you say will strike a chord and they will remember it for another bride. you never know. even though a mistake a vendor makes may not make or break your big day, it means something to you - because you're right, we spend so much time and money planning our day, we put so much energy and thought into it... and i think that you should get what you expect and pay for from a vendor.

I had a similar situation with one of my vendors and I was so upset and frustrated about it! Everyone kept saying 'whats done is done,' but that just wasn't good enough for me! I felt that when you agree upon something for your wedding day you just expect it to be executed to the fullest and if it is not then there should be something given back!
So I went with my gut made an appointment with the vendor bought some pictures with me to proove my points and in the end I actually made out and ended up getting quite a significant amount of money back! Definitely do not let it slide if it bothers you, voice your concerns and see where it takes you! Good Luck!

I'm glad someone is talking about this....dh and i were thinking that while many things didn't go exactly as planned, nothing really went wrong, if you know what I mean....but now that we got the proofs back and i'm seeing things i didn't notice the actual day of, i'm annoyed that things didn't go as planned.. For example, our cake was definitely not anything at all like we talked about, and it was the first time WSCC used the bakery we picked...I'm just not sure if it's worth making the phone call to complain...what do you think?

I am in the same spot as you. I would voice your concerns to the vendor. It may prevent another bride from the same dissappointments.

I would contact the vendors. If anything they can offer a discount. I know I was dissappointed with our limos but most of it had to do with the honeymoon transportation which was after that day.
It does stink when vendors let you down but try and focus on the positves!

Yea, call them. You can' t go back, but at least get some money off.
