Re: Vendor table
thats a good question- i don't think they sit @ a table i think they probably leave the reception room and possibly go to the cocktail hour room and eat there. i could be wrong but i cannot see my vendors sitting @ a table next to me aunt and uncle- lol.

exactly - i think each hall has a differetn spot for the vendors to eat......and the photographer and videographer step away for maybe 10 minutes to eat...you'll never miss them

They have to eat... They will be there for a long time. Photographer will be there from 2:30 -12 for me. I think most places make you pay for them to eat. Like half of the cost of a plate.

Re: Vendor table
I hope they do not put my vendors in the cocktail room...its another building!!!!!!!!! I don;t care if they ahve a vendors table for them to eat at as long as they do their job...I know the guys from the band, and the only other vendor will be the photographer/assistant....

Re: Vendor table
Vendors eat in the cocktail room, usually while everyone else is eating and there is a 'lull', if you will, in the action.

Yes they are 1/2 price. And I WANT them to eat!! I was just wondering about the tables because I am doing to table arrangement in the room right now.

Re: Vendor table
My hall just told me that they put a table near the band set up for all of the vendors to eat. Its behind a guest table, but not in the middle of the room.

Re: Vendor table
When I asked my vendors if they wanted to eat, they all said yes, they would appreciate the meal because it is a long day for them.
A couple of them asked where they would be sitting and we told them we would have a table for them in the reception room. They were very happy to hear that because when they get banished to another room they feel like second-class citizens.
Their table looked like any other table - I even got a centerpiece for it. It was just empty most of the time, and since it was near the bar some guests would get drinks and then sit down to talk (this was after dinner). A friend of mine took home the centerpiece.

Re: Vendor table
I like the idea of a vendor table. I don't know, I think it is respectful. Also, then they have a place to put there stuff, like all the other guests.
I need to talk to my hall too about this.

Tacky why? No one sees them, the reception is going on? You and your guests are inside eating and enjoying your dinner. I am confused now why this is tacky this was not my choice and this is the way OUR hall does it?

because in my opinion, it will be like they are 2nd class..I kow they are working for us, but I still think they should eat in the main room...what if my wedding was in the day, and they had to set up the cocktail room for the next wedding?
