Vendor Vent

went to see a florist about 2 weeks ago. i sent an email to him last week (wednesday) telling him i wanted to book him for our wedding. He didn't respond to the email. so i called him he said he got my email and would be sending the contract to me that day. Almost a week later i still did not receive a contract. I sent him another email this morning asking him if he sent the contract. No response yet. MY FMIL said with Mothers Day and this time of the year maybe he just has been busy.

My question is how much more time should i give him. He is one of the 'recommended' vendors by our RH. maybe he isn't in a big rush since we aren't spending that much $$. we are spending about $1,500. Should i call him tomorrow? if he doesn't give me a straight answer or no response should i contact the banquet manager?they are the house florist for my RH

I just hate having to constantly having to follow up with people. so far i have lucked out with my vendors. they have great & responsive.

any advice would be appreciated!!

IMO that's rude and unprofessional of him... Even if he's busy because of the season he could at least give you a courtesy call... If he's this uncooperative now, just imagine what he's like down the line... ugh

It doesn't if you spend 1500 or 5000 its still your hard earned money and he still owes you the same customer service. If he is being this unreliable now who knows what will happen when the wedding comes around. I wouldn't go with him.

thanks.. i am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.. i just find it hard to believe he is being so unresponsive. he had alot of positive reviews on this board.

also, just a word of advice..just because they are 'recommended' vendors from your RH.. that means squat.. this is the 2nd negative experience from their recommended vendors.
