Body Rock

Photographer- Autumn @ Photo Zone in Bay Ridge... all though a trek for me, she's great. I went to college with her and she has a fresh, photo-journalistic style. She has a BFA in photography, so at least she has an art background- I respect that.

Band- Gerard Carelli Orchestra. My parents are jazz musicians- and they work w/ Gerard quite frequently. They are going to be awesome!

Florist- Milleridge Florist- i used to work there and love their work. They worked within my budget and have been nothing but wonderful.

Limos- Limo Connection... recommended by friend- as long as they had a black lincoln- it was fine by me.

Photography:
Steve from Patken - based on recommendations from people here

Videography:
Wild Rose - they were just AMAZING - they were absolutely artistic - and such wonderful people. We are doing the Red Rose package.

Band:
Times Square Orchestra - Their showcase was great! Plus they played a few times at my reception place - and came very highly recommended

Photo - Steve Patken...(recom. from here)
Video - David - Advanced Multimedia (from MarcellaBella)
DJ - High Energy Entertainment (saw them at a wedding)
Flowers - Burtons (recom. from here)
Limo - Royalty (had the Hummer that we may get)

Florist: Flower Michele
(John came highly recommended on here and from others. He was the 1st florist I met with and I booked him on the spot! Great man!)

DJ: Parties Alive
(Made an appointment to meet with them at an expo. My sister and I met with the owner and had a blast with him! He offered the right price, so we booked.)

Photography: Christine Austin Photography
(Met with several photographers. My FH and I really liked her and her work! She was also very negotiable.)

Limos: US Limos
(We haven't booked them yet, but I have a feeling we will since my FH does a lot of business with them. The owner is very particular about his cars...all garaged in a warehouse, car wash on site, and plenty to choose from.)

Photo & Video: IMAGINE STUDIOS I went to meet them after I saw Shamma's photos and once I met them it was an easy choice. They are a husband and wife team and are both so nice and work great together. I have heard only positive feedback about them from everyone who used them.

Band: FULL HOUSE I went their showcase based upon the positive reviews on this site. They were by far the best band that I saw. The female singer has an amazing voice. The also play at bars adn clubes around the island and always draw a good crowd. You can hear some audio clip on thier website

Flowers: FLOWERS BY BURTON They have gotten good reviews on this site and the price was great. It was over $1000 less than other places I looked at.

Make-up: JN She has gotten the best reviews by brides on this site. I went for a trial and she did a great job, spent a lot of time with me and my MOH, and really wanted to create a look I was comfortable with.

We took a lot of time researching our vendors, I must have met with 6 or 7 of each kind. Here is who we chose...

Photography: North Island Photography (Michael Rosengard). He is truly talented, he loves what he does. www.niphotoinc.com

Videography: Platinum Video, Peter again I feel is a rare find. He is a cinematographer as well. His work is amazing. Nothing cheesy about him!

DJ-Music by Michael, he is exactly what we were looking for. An elegant approach to a DJ!

Flowers- Burton's (basically the price was right), I knew I needed to save money here

Encore Music- flute, violin, cello trio, They were very professional, I cant wait to hear them play at my wedding...

M&M travel- Laurie is so nice and helpful. We booked our honeymoon with her.

Make Up - another JN fan here, she is terrific

Hair- Cactus Salon, Kim did a great job at my trial!

I dont know if I am missing anything....

Ok here goes!

Photography-Patken Photographer
I chose Steve as my photographer, I love his style!

Video-Wild Rose Video -Need I say more?

Limousines-Ultimate Class Limousine -After other companies I have visited I couldn't believe some of the horrible, filty, not maintained cars I saw ...I could go on & on. Also check out the BBB websites on limo companies, you'll be surprised! (Edited to say his new website will be up & running in 2 weeks-I told him this one had to go!)

Flowers-Flowers by Matthew-A friend of my MOH's dad-a GRAEt deal and I saw his work through my friend's weddings & I am very happy!

Makeup-Jaquelyn Nicole -Her work speaks for itself!!

DJ-Andy A of Hypnotic Sounds-My friend of 10+ yrs who I also saw weddings, sweet sixteens etc he has done, he really gets the crowd going & works with CD's. This is his wedding gift to me so I got the best of both worlds!

Tavel Agent-In and Out Travel
Unbeatable Price & great to deal with!
