Did you/are you planning to ask your vendors for references? Did you/will you actually call the references they give you? I'm just curious how many of us really do this because I've read everywhere that you should.

I have got too much else to do, I use LIW as my referral system. If no one here has heard of the vendor, then I would ask for a referral.

Most of the time I ask for references. If the vendor looks at me like I am crazy, then that is a big negative in my book.
And yes, I call all references.
However, I do use this site more for references and referrals.
