Vendors & Hall Question... $

Hello... My hall is not charging us if we choose the vendors they recommend. They will eat for free. If we use outside vendors, they eat 1/2 off. Has anyone found that it is cheaper to go with an outside vender?

Also- why are we paying for our photographer and videographer to eat... Aren't they working? I've never seen them stop to eat.

it all depends on the vendors honestly, some could be more than ur hall recommended ones, some less....dont feel like you HAVE to use your hall recommended ones!! and it is pretty customary to pay for plates for photographer,videographer and DJ's...in fact many include it in their contract...on one hand it is understandable, working 10-12 hours w/o eating isnt possible, on the other hand your paying so much money, why have to pay for them to eat too? i personally would feed them regardless to each his own i guess,

I work in the entertainment business and usually clients let us eat. It isn't expected but it is a nice gesture. I mean a dj only works like 6 hors with set up and break down, but a photographer is their usually for a good part of the day. The best way to describe it is how other workers get a lunch break.

Our hall is the sme thing 1/2 off for none related vendors.
