Do we have to include the vendors in the pp count for the reception hall? I have no idea

Do I need to include my DJ and Photo/Video guys in my head count to the RH?

It depends. If you need to include them you can, but at a lot of RHs if you meet your minimum vendors' plates are half the price, or sometimes house vendors even eat free!
ETA: I think I read this wrong. I thought you meant is the pp price still the same. I'm pretty sure you include them in your final head count, though not in your seating chart.

You tell them your # of adult guests & # of children guests and how many at each table.
You tell them a separate # of how many vendors you will be feeding.
Since vendors are not fed at guest tables, the # is given separately.

Give vendor count as a separate number. They usually eat separately, and most RH's will feed them for a reduced rate (i.e. ours is 50% assuming we met our guest minimum)

Yes, you need to include them. At our RH as long as we meet the minimum they are half price.

They count one way or the other. If you meet your min., they are a separate number. If not, yes, you pay for them. Some places charge you 50% for outside vendors while house vendors are free of charge. It depends on your RH.

My hall said I COULD count them in my minimum if I can't make my minimum so I don't have to pay extra for them.
but since I make my minimum and don't need to do that - they get their own head count since their meals are cheaper.

who are the typical vendors that need to be included? the photographer of course..videographer, and DJ and the MC (thats 4 people right there)..what about florists? Do they just set up the room with flowers and then disappear afterward? do i need to count them too?
If you have a DOC, can she take care of those details? does the DOC also get a meal at half price ?This is getting complicated!!!!!
