VENDORS I'VE ALREADY BOOKED KEEP CALLING AND I'M GETTING WORRIED

Has this happened to anyone else? About a month ago I had a message from my florist asking if I looked into florists, etc and to give them a call (meanwhile I booked them like 4 months ago), then last night I got a call from my DJ and when I told her that I booked them already, she hesitated and asked when and I told her like a month and a half ago and she was like 'okay, then if you already booked us...'. Should I be getting nervous that they can't find my contracts, etc or is this pretty common?????

Don't worry. They go by lists that they get from the halls that recommend them. It's probably just an oversight!

If you're really worried, call them back and make sure they have your contracts on file.

I have not had this happen...When you booked, did you do it in person, or did you mail in a contract. Also, did you confirm just after booking? If you have not yet confirmed with any of these vendors, don't be too worried.

But, if you have already confirmed, then maybe you should ask them where the confusion arose? Did they simply forget to take you off their list of contacts after you booked, or did they not have your event marked on the calander?

Ack! The same thing has happened to me. I've gotten two messages from my DJ after I booked them! We went in and signed the contract in person. The person who called wasn't the person who I booked with. The funny thing is that they aren't one of the recommended vendors from my hall. I figured they put me on a list when I first went in to get information. Hmmm....

Yes, I signed both contracts in person. I haven't called either to confirm since I still have a little under 6 months until the wedding. I have to call my florist in a few weeks anyway because my MOH in coming down from San Diego and wants to see the flowers, pedestals and talk about shapes/sized of bo-ks. I only booked the DJ a little over a month ago.

Edited to say: both of these vendors are house vendors of my hall.

If you are still concerned, you can call your vendors to confirm. I actually did that for a few for peace of mind. I do keep getting promotional email from my videographer though - I'm assuming I'm on some email/mailing list.

I wouldn't worry.
Just call and confirm.

You have the same DJ that I have for my engagment party and the same thing keeps happening to me he keeps calling me to book them. I finally told them to stop calling me or I would not book them and they stopped.

Bridget -the person who called me was not the same person we spoke with when we went in but if they keep calling me, i think I'm going to say the same thing.

Yah I booked with Tommy and then this women kept calling my house, my cell, my office. And these are all number I put on the contract. I finally said that enough was enough, I was getting calls everyday. Thank goodness it was only for the eparty if it was the wedding I would have been really upset. I just think that they have a master call list of names and they go through it and call almost like telemarketing.

If she calls me again, I'm going to ask her WHY she keeps calling me when I've already booked and that they should remove me from the call list.
