I was very happy with ALL of my vendors except Bridal Couture which is where the BM dresses came from...
For Photo I used Autumn Lin out of Photo Zone in Brooklyn- we went to college together and she has a great eye and takes fanastic photos- everyone compliments me on the photos AND her personality at the wedding- she wasn't overbearing and had a great way of getting groups together for photos, etc.
I didn't have a video.
For my band I used Gerard Carelli Orchestras- I had a 10 piece band and they not only had everyone dancing all night long, but made me feel like a was at a high-society event.
I used the Millerdige Florist- Cherly & Chris did an AMAZING job.. from my personals to the centerpieces to the cermony decorations- everything was PERFECT and they were able to make my candle-lit ceremony a reality.
I got my wedding dress at Adrienne's in Islip- everyone I worked with there were so nice, professional, and got everything to me on time, when promised- my Mom also bought her dress from Adrienne's.
For invitations (and save-the-dates and post-brunch invitations) I used And I Quote invitations in Port Jeff- Elaine is a sweatheart and has EVERY invitation you can image for a GREAT price (I would say 15-20% less than Papyrus, Kate's Paper, etc).
We got the guy's tuxes at Men's Warehouse. It was great because the groom's men were ALL over the place- Florida, North Jersey, etc- so all the guys had to do was get measured in one store and the tuxes were sent to any other they wanted.. in addition- they were able to RETURN the tuxes to any store as well.. it was VERY convenient and there were no problems with fitting, wrong outfits, etc.
I made my own favors and programs- I did not have a menu.

Re: vendors you would recommend
For video & photo I highly recommend Duet. Our package was $3000, which I still think is amazing, do a search for the official duet thread for other info, reviews, & finished product(including my proofs). For flowers I was very happy w/ M&F florist in Islip, but its a matter of what you are looking for. I did my own CPs & only need WP flowers & a few pieces for my ceremony. Everything came out beautiful & it all cost about $800, it was really perfect for us.

I am very fond of my vendors because they are extremely talented, are true professionals, and treat you like family (which I feel is so important when you will be dealing with your vendors for quite some time)
