Vent

So, one of my clients wanted us to attend a conference in New York this week at the Marriott Marquis. Now, there are three people on the account -- me and two others.

Now, one of my partners on the team was out on vacation till yesterday so I went to the majority of the sessions, including one that started at 8 a.m.. The other colleague is a VP and she got pulled into some other stuff. So, I've done just about all the work here.

There is one more session tomorrow, so we asked the girl who was on vacation to go to the Saturday one -- it's only an hour and a half or so. She says she desn't think so because she's supposed to pack. Mind you, she was off for 4 days AND she lives in the city. So now I have to trek in from Queens (we live on the Queens/Brooklyn border so it's a bit of a hike) on a Saturday, to go to this session.

On top of that, we found out that our air conditioners will be delivered and installed tomorrow, so someone has to be there. Boosh has a dental appointment in the morning, so now my MIL may have waste her Saturday AM to come in and wait for the delivery.

Anyone else see my point --I mean I know she has to pack, but we're talking a lousy hour and a half AND she lives in manhattan.

Unfortunately, I just started this job, so I can't make waves yet

and i'll add that my commute will take longer than mon-fri because the buses and trains run slower

not sure when she is moving but i doubt it's tomorrow, i over heard her say that she had a b-day party tomorrow night, so i doubt she's moving

LOL!! I thought she was packing fro ANOTHER vacation ...

Sounds like she just doesn't want to work on Saturday. That sucks.
