ok, i am freaking out. i think i want to change my reception hall. i dont like the dance floor in the bostonian room at the watermill. i called and asked for the min. for the astor and it's 125 and i would never make it. my fh is never going to let me change it, and i'm not happy

You still have lots of time to change it...how many people are you having? I dont remember there even being a dance floor in the bostonian room? I think you should go again first, they let you come in a look around, take some pictures...think about it for a good week, if you still feel this way inside, then change, you want to be happy about ever part of your wedding day, tell your FH this so he understands where you are coming from....

the dance floor in the bostonian is small and it's like a weird shape. i really love the watermill, but im just not happy will the floor. but, then i dont want to lose the money i already put down.

The most you can lose if the wedding is more than 6 months away (in Suffolk County) is $100. Regardless of what your contract says that is the law.

Well it would not meet the min of the Astor suite then so I wouldnt even try BUT I still think that many people woudl sfit perfectly in the smaller room you choose....I would do the run by again, look at it again...remember that people will be standing up around you, the lights will be dim and the music going, you might not even remember what it looked it...I tried just now to remember a dance floor at a recent wedding and couldn;t...hang in there!!

thanks i am going to call and see when i can go in and look at it again. i fell in love with the place when i saw it, but now looking at my room on the website the dance floor looks small and every place else the dance floor is so big. i have to go in again and look at it.
Oh , its not so bad...remember that it is a small wedding....People will dance all over anyway! Keep you head up!
yeah, your right. i'm just used to seeing these big dance floors and then i look at this one and i'm thinking
i just want there to be enough rom for everyone.

I would not base your decision on the size of the dance floor... I have heard great things about the watermill so I am sure you will have a wonderful wedding... people will dance all night regardless of size or shape of the dance floor...

i know, i just looked through all the papers they gave me, and it really is a beautiful place and a great price. i doubt i will find anything like it for the amount i'm paying. i'm just going to go back and look at the place again and i'm sure i'll be fine. thank you all for helping me
