is your Mom paying? cause then let it go
if you are paying- tell her to either tell them NO or to kick in for the 2 childern
if you don't want Childern, then she should tell them- it's her guest!

Re: vent....
I would say something. I hate the fact that people take it upon themselves to bring guests.. Are you having other children cause that could be a reason to say something..

Girrrrrrrl, i am too familiar with this situation. If your mom doesn't want to say anything, then u should speak up. Call them up and explain that you are limiting the number of people. Trust me, u need to put your foot down when it comes to these things. Good luck.

Re: vent....
Get the phone number and call them yourself. Call at a time when you do not think anyone will be home, like 10 am during the week. Leave a message introducing yourself, thank them for sending the reply and let them know that unfortunately you can not accomodate their whole family that only Mr. and Mrs. yada yada are invited. Leave your phone number and tell them to please call and let you know if they will still be able to attend. BTW I think your mother is wrong for not helping you out with this and even if she was paying those people weren't on her list.

Re: vent....
if you're having no kids at the wedding, I would get their # from your mom and tell them no way no how!
if you are allowing kids, definitely ask your mom to pay for them. that's not right!
why do people ASSume?

OK you do what you want to do..........however, that is just plain rude!!! Are you having kids at your wedding?
I think you need to speak up and call these people. If you are not having kids, then explain that it is an adult only event.
I have a 5 year old daughter, she will be the only child there. If anyone did that to me, I would tell them nicely that it is not for children, even if MY daughter is there!!!
