I really am at the end of my rope. First, the dress was supposed to come in at the end of March or the beginning of April. Then it was the beginning of May, I was told the 11th. TODAY IS THE 26TH!!!!!!!!!!!! I am furious and I keep getting told not to worry, it is on it's way, it's in the country but suck in customs, blah blah blah. What if something is wrong with the dress when it comes in? What if it doesn't fit? I didn't even get to try the dress on when I ordered it because the sample was a size 8 which I couldn't fit a third of my body in. What if I hate it??????
I am so stressed out and frustrated and this totally S U C K S

You still have 6 weeks, I'd be sweating a little but you do have time, so try not to stress!!!!!!

Oh no! I am so sorry. You do have a liitle bit of time but I would be calling the store every day. I cannot believe this. I am so sorry, Really. What is the store telling you?

My wedding is 7/17 and I was told my dress isn't in either. I have a feeling it is and they want to wait for the 6 week mark to start alterations.

I know I have some time. It's just so frustrating because all the BM dresses are in, the MOB and MOG have their dresses, even the boys have their tuxs done and at the rate that the store is going, I am going to be walking down the aisle in my day of hoodie
They are telling me that it is in the next shipment that they are waiting to clear through customs. But at this point I dont believe them anymore. I have been promised it was going to be here for weeks now. The store manager PROMISED she was going to call me yesterday to give me a status update and of course she didn't. I just don't understand why people can't do what they say they are going to do.
And like I said, I wasn't even able to put the dress on when I ordered it so I am afraid that it won't look good on me and that I'll hate it. And at this point, with 45 days left, there are no other options. It's not like I can go and get another dress if something goes wrong with this one.
Everyday on these boards I see another post about someone getting 'the call'. I am just ready for it to be my turn already

I know it's FRUSTRATING - I'm in the same situation as you and I'm getting married a week before you. I am being told my dress will be in the 2nd week of June - HOLY STRESS!!! But don't let it consume you! Where is your dress coming from that it's in customs?

UGH i am sorry that IS frustrating.... I am anxious to get mine and my wedding isnt until September so I could only imagine how you feel!! I would call them non stop!!!

I remember EsquireBride had a similar problem. I wonder if you ordered from the same store or designer. I don't remember how she finally lit a fire under them to get the dress. Perhaps if you FM her, she may be able to give you some advice.

omg that stinks.. you should def get on their case and have them hurry that up.. tell them that if the dress doesnt fit they will have to do rush alterations for free

I know it is frustrating but you have time. If it is coming in from overseas then I would trust the store that it is in the next shipment.
You want to wait as long as possible to start alterations anyway. I did mine 3 weeks before the wedding and it was great because we didn't have to worry about any changes in my body!
It will all work out -- try not to stress it.

My dress was weeks late in coming in from when it was promised -- they told me the story about customs. I was told by other girls on here that customs won't really delay your dress for weeks and weeks and so you are being fed a line. It probably wasn't even shipped yet from the designer. This customs nonsense was the only issue i had with my dress shop and they recanted their 'customs' story when I called them out on it (I told them that this was not a customs issue, because I had a friend that worked in the international shipping department of her business and told me that items coming from the country of origin of my dress take about a week to arrive and sometimes customs can even be cleared on the boat before arrival... and then they recanted and told me the designer had held up the shipment because he was sending several dresses together -- I would have been perfectly fine knowing about this in the first place!).

I don't know where mine is coming from or if they are telling me the truth at all. How far in advance did you end up getting your dress? I feel like everyone else has theirs MONTHS in advance. I feel a little better to know that I am not the only one with only a few weeks to go and no dress.
