So my E Party is this Saturday. I am getting real worried because FH's cousin has a new wife that is about to pop out her first child. I know with our luck that she'll give birth on the day of the party. Then, I have an aunt who was gardening and she fell forward and broke TWO wrists! It was such a freak accident so now her and her daughter and their husbands are not showing up. I totally understand- these things happen. So, I paid for everyone on Saturday and now that I get these cancellations I know that we can't get our money back but I did call the place hosting the party and they are able to give us a gift certificate in the same amount of the people that we paid for. So, I am happy we are getting something. I just have a feeling that this girl is going into labor like the night before or the day of- just our luck....

Awww it will be ok! I know it is disappointing but that is really awesome that they are giving you a gift certificate!! Most places wouldn't do that! Are you getting excited? Is everything ready??

awwww I had the same thing happen right before my e-party. My aunt (grandmas sister) had a stroke and ended up in the hospital and then my grandma (dad's side) fell and broke her hip so she was in the hospital so my grandparents couldnt make it to my e-party. I was kind of upset but I felt more bad for them since they were sick.

I feel terrible that my Aunt is not well right now- it just $ucks. I have the WORST luck. I sound like such a b*tch but seriously. One time, FH and I were away on our very first vacation and my Uncle died and we had to come home after two days. It was just BAD luck. Another time, I went to Florida and the most disastrous hurricane hit and ruined our vacation... So honestly, if no one shows up, I will just be like 'Well, it's just bad luck' and that's pretty much what I have.

I understand but you will have such a great E-party you wont even notice! And... it was really nice of the place to give you a gift certificate!!! Thats pretty positive!
