VENT!!!!!
First of all I just want to say before I start venting-EXCUSE the bleeps...but I am fumin'!!!!!!
We are renovating our whole apartment. We've had a contractoe at the apartment for the past two months. Everything looks great and it is coming along so beautifully.
My mother and father decide they want to install brand new windows. Okay fine...
We get a few quotes over a month ago and we finally settle with a company that has been in business over 60+ years, and my FH works in the same buliding as one of their offices.
They come and take measurements/give us quotes and place the order. This was the last week of August. (mind you we played phone tag about 20 times on and off for days)-FH was getting pissed...
GUESS WHAT!!!!
FH called me today at work...Thank Goodness everyone in my office was out at lunch cuz I flipped,
He tells me that the earliest they can do the install is OCTOBER 10th!!!!!
Mind you, my contracter's contract end's OCTOBER 3rd!!!!!! FH told me he told him to squeeze us in and he said that bc it is a big job they can't.
Good for you that it's a big job-YOUR THE INSTALLER-you're gonna get big jobs every once in a while.
I called him...and left him a wonderful message saying:.....
'Fred-I understand you spoke with my Fiance regarding installing the windows on Oct 10th-that is not going to work for us at all. We have been playing phone tag with you and the seller of the windows for the past 3 weeks and every day is a new story. My contractor is with us until October 3rd, and if you plan on paying him for any time after that than by all mean's come on the 10th. I do not plan on giving him another penny-the contractor is waiting on the windows to be installed-and you need to fit me in ASAP or send a new installer-because this **** is not goin to pass me easily.'

FH asked why I can't be like that with all the vendors that are trying to get over on us....
SIMPLE ANSWER: BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL THE VENDORS I PICKED AND THEY AREN'T GETTING OVER ON US! THE ONE HE USES HAD TO BE RETARTED!!!!
I told him to get used to it..next two months I am gonna be a ***** with anyone that just peeps an idiotic comment...
