VENT

So my best friend of 20 plus years is being a real BBIIAATTCCHH!!! When she found out about my engagement she immediately asked if she was going to be a bridesmaid. When I told her no, that we were only having our kids (we have three between the two of us) in the bridal party she got annoyed. Then when she hears stuff about the wedding planning she makes comments like 'Well...you only do it twice'...with a little giggle...Yes we all know I made a BIG mistake the first time, but at least pretend to be happy that I found a great guy NOW. Before we were talking and she brought up not being in the wedding again...I told her (in a sort of joking way) 'you could throw my bachelorette party'. Her reply was 'Sorry, that's your daughter's job...she is the MOH' Yeah...a nine year old is going to do that!! UUGGHH!!!

I totally feel for you- I get the same crap from my BF of 30+ years. When she found out she wasnt in my BP she never wants to talk about my wedding and anything that hasto do with it. i start talking about something wedding related she just changes the subject to something else.
Its called jealousy!!

What is wrong with people?! I can't wait till my bf gets remarried. Her first marriage was a huge mistake and I can't wait for her new guy to propose. And whether of not I am the MOH I plan to spoil her as if it was her first wedding.

people really have to start getting a life. and be happy for your friends. i just dont understand. people like that shouldnt be allowed to have friends.

Yea...funny things happen when you're planning a wedding. My BF of 22+ yrs and I are no longer friends. I felt it was a one way friendship. She called me once after I lost my job to chat about her cheating hubby, not how my job search was going or how I was managing. I told her we were engaged, I got a Congrats... that is it. no card, no calls about how the planning is going. After a while, it was diminished to texts.... I realized she was a real selfish B**%@. So I wrote her off right before I did my invitations. I thought she should know why she wasn't receiving one.
