Re: vent

ummm times like this I blame menopause. Especially if it's out of character.

I would wait till she calms down and have FH explain WHY he chose Saturday (which sounded like a very valid decision).

Maybe she was in a bad mood??

To answer your question, no, you are not wrong.

I would've been really annoyed.

wow.

I'd think she'd be happy he wanted to plan something special for her. The way she acted was wrong.

its not out of character though lol they are so immature and she fights with him all the time over the smallest stupidest pettiest things its unbelievable I dont understand it.. it was just wierd to me becasue she found the need to completely ignore the fact that I was there and not come home and then not answer the phone when i was calling her ytday.. REALLY??!!! becasue this has nothing to do with me

I think if you have a very straight forward relationship with FMIL then ask. There may be some underlying issues there that can be resolved.

I wish I had an open relationship like that.

I think it's great that you feel comfortable enough to talk to her. It's better to clear the air and get things out, rather than keep the feelings in.

Re: vent

you are NOT wrong. if your FFIL wanted to do something just with them then how are you guys supposed to spend time with her?
i can't believe she never showed up. that is so childish and immature. how long were you waiting for?
and what did she say when you asked her what happened?

we waited from 6p-830 p and then fh finally said lets go. she said dont let it affect me she was disappointed because this is the 3rd mothers day that he didnt come to see her..

UHMMMMMMMMMMMMM Thats not true because

#1 - 3 years ago we took our moms out together but i guess that didnt count
#2 - he did come to see her this year she just didnt come home becasue it wasnt on the actual day

so i told her that he just wanted to spend more time wit her and that he was upset because the effort went unrecognized and i left it at that I just cant Im not into drama it just bothered me becasue we live inHauppauge and you live in manhattan we have to pay tolls to get to your house and drive around for ever before we can even find a parking spot and your just not going to show up?
