Every time I tell FH one of my ideas for the wedding he asks his sister what she thinks... than if she doesn't like it neither does she.... She had her wedding and got married already... she needs to stop butting into mine... everytime i mention the wedding she has some sort of opinion (usually not in my favor) than fh changes his mind. My fsil and my opinions and taste aren't the same..... She had her wedding now its time for mine and FH has to stop being so persuaded by what she says

thats stinks and is pretty uncool of your FSIL to be doing. You should talk to your FH about and tell him its bothering you. And if he still disagrees with you, dont ask his opinion anymore! lmao sorry that's what i would do maybe I'm not the best person to go by.

Re: Vent
If I were you I would talk to FH. Tell him it's your wedding not his sister's and when you ask for his opinion you don't want hers. If FSIL still butts in tell her she already had her wedding and it's was beautiful but you want to have your own now!

Re: Vent
I'd definitely talk to him about it, he probably doesn't realize a)that its bothering you or b)that he's even doing it. I'm sure he'll be willing to understand and change that

Re: Vent
Thats a tough situation but you are absolutley right, its not her wedding its yours.. What you want is all that matters. I would try to talk to your FH and tell him how you feel. Tell him it really upsets you that he keeps turning down your ideas whenever his sister gives her opinion. You could also tell him that you don't want him telling her any of your ideas anymore. Its not her day its yours and his. Hope this helps..

I agree. I bet he's just used to communicating with her and doesn't realize it upsets you.
I tend to tell my dad stuff and later i'm like ugh why did I do that?

Re: Vent
thanks everyone.... Its ok that he talks to her but it bothers me that his opinion changes if she doesnt like it.... I would rather him tell me what he thinks before he goes and asks her... I want to know what he thinks, not what she thinks,,,, thanks everyone
