Vent

I went to my orthopaedic today to recheck my arm and he says I am deff going to need another surgery sooner then I thought. He said I can try to wait until after the wedding but he doens't know if I will make it. My pain is becoming worse. He gave me a cortizone shot in my wrist today which made me sick it hurt and felt sooooo disgusting and got me nauseaus I guess from the pain. He said this might by time but its unlikely. I have to go back in 2months or sooner and see how I am doing. I realllllly wanted to wait until after the wedding to do this since it will be another HUGEEE scar added to my arm that already has 3 ugly scars and its on my wrist and arm that has my wedding rings. This *****

People have scars... it happens, part of who you are and what you've endured. You can always have those touched up in your photos if you want.

I'd rather see you get it done now and feel healthy for your wedding instead of it being potentially an urgent problem a couple months before and have it interfere when it's crunch time cause you're forced to do it,, you know? You'll feel better!

Oh no what is wrong with you wrist??? While i was at the end of my pregnancy with my 2nd baby I had wrist problems that got worse after and I needed a cortisone shot in both writs!! it was HORRIBLE!! I also got nauseous and I could barely move them for the rest of the day so i definitely feel your pain... im so sorry it is horrible!

ITA with Jamie. It's better to get it done sooner than wait for it to get worse or have to do it too close to the wedding. At least this way you can heal

Also, maybe your MU can cover whatever scars a bit with makeup

I'm sorry your in pain. I agree with Jamie too. It's def. better to have it done sooner rather than later. I know scars are su-cky but....
scars can be covered up with make up and touched up in photos. I have three really ugly scars on my shoulder and one on my arm and one right above my left eye, so i know that if you use the right combo of cover ups they wont show.

Oh no another surgery? :(

I know you mentioned this in one of my threads. I say get it done now. Dont suffer any more than you have to.

And dont worry about the scars. They give you character. You'll be beautiful on your wedding day. Trust me.

Thank girls. I have something called kienbocks disease is a rare stupid thing where the bone in my wrist is dying breakin in peices(which is already has done) and causing severe pain limited motion. I can't even squeeze a shampoo bottle. It started with my first pregnancy they thought it was carpal tunnel for the longest time that it was in 2003. Then in 2005 a wrist orthopedic diagnosed me right and I had a 3 hours surgery to cut bones and do a radial shortening. I currently have scews and plates in. After that surgery a Lump appeared in my forearm ont he top and my origianl scar was on the bottom. My doc told em it was prob a scew since it does that sometimes. For almost 5 years I walked around with this nasty lump in arm. So after my pain getting worse I went to a new doc in stonybrook(my old one was with st catherines) he said tehre is no wayyy thats a screw so I had a 2nd surgery to check out the cartliage in my wrist and to take out this lump which turned out o be surgical material left inmy arm after surgery. Its freakin nasty and crazy and my doc said it was HUGE b.c my body was fighting it and covering it in scar tissue. I have a lawsuit in progress right now. The next surgery is major though. I am scared if it doesn't go like planned I will need another surgery to fuse my wrist immediately after and they will also take out the metal then too.

Get it done now so you won't be in pain on your wedding day!
I know scars **** but everyone has them and if you are that uncomfortable with them, you can always use that tattoo covering makeup to cover them for the day.

Im so sorry you are going thru this. I know its a hard decision but maybe its better to get it over with now then wait till after the wedding and be in more pain I wouldnt want to see you on your wedding day in pain that would be awful for you.. About the scars.. No worries! I have scars all over me from various injuries.. Im accident prone! lol! My mom always says Scars make you diff from others and no one will ever have the same scar as you If you are concerned about the scars showing you can have them airbrushed.. I know someone who did that.. looked perfect.. HTH Sending you hugs!
