My mother makes me sooooo angry. I have a million and one things left to do for the wedding, and she decided this afternoon that she wants to raise hell because her name is not on the invites, and she does not like the fact that I put togther with their parents, and that she is not going to invite any of her friends because the invite is coming from me and not from her, well hate to break it to you mom, but I am the one getting married not you!!!! SOOOOO ANGRY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

I am so sorry, she will get over it eventually. Mom's have a tendency to drive you nuts, but in the end things will work out!

OHH i soooo know how you feel!!! we were going to word it the same way until my mother threw a temper tantrum about it so now we have both parents names on the invites...
I feel that some mothers just dont get that its NOT their weddings but ours, and they can be so unruly at times...
Word your invitation how YOU want to word it she will come around when she realizes the only thing that matters is that you are happy!

it isnt even totally about whose wedding it is... if the girls parents are paying for 75% i would say they are the ones doing inviting. but if bride and groom are paying for most with both parents contributing- its fair to say it would say bride and groom name... then 'along with their parents'. you could list their names after that... but it soundsllike its done. she will get over it. whats done is done!!
