Ok, so I asked each one of my bridesmaids one on one either over dinner or drinks, in some nice way. After the fact, I found on Itty Bitty Ink the cutest 'will you be my bridesmaid/matron of honor' cards and ordered them (4 BM's 1 MOH). I couldn't wait for them to come in. They came the day before our 'one year to go anniversary' so I sat and put alot of thought into writing something very personal and sentimental in each card. I put them in padded envelopes so they wouldn't get damaged and mailed them. This was Monday and only one BM (FSIL) called to tell me she got it and to thank me If she got it then all the others got them too but no one called or e-mailed, nothing!
If it were me who got a card like that, I would call and say 'thank you', 'that was so nice of you', 'I'm really looking forward to being a part of your wedding too'.....NOTHING! am I expecting too much?
Sorry this is so long, I'm a little hurt.

I am not sure if i understand tho.. you already asked them face to face and then sent cards? Or was this card for the first time asking?
Either way they should have at least said thanks.

I asked them face to face and then found the cards, so I thought they'd be a nice keepsake with my sentiments on how happy I am that they'll be sharing in such an important day...
In all fairness, one BM is in Aruba right now, so hers is sitting at her house.

I wouldn't worry because just because 1 BM got the card doesn't mean any of the others did; the mail in some towns runs slower than in others. Wait a few days, they might not have recieved the cards yet.

Well, this probably isn't going to make me the most popular of the '04 brides BUT I'm saying it anyway because I hope it will make you feel better. If I were a bridesmaid and had already expressed how excited I was to the bride in person, I would not call after having received that card. I would love it, and be appreciative and probably even put it on display somewhere in my house, but I just wouldn't think about calling. Don't worry; your friends still love you! And I'm sure they loved the cards too.

I agree with MV...even if they have all received their cards (which may not be the case..) everyone has very busy lives. You are immersed in wedding plannning right now, because it is your wedding. They are not thinking about it as much as you are. Just because they haven't called doesn't mean they don't care!
