Vent about registering with FH!

Grrrrr-- we just got back from attempting to add to our registry at Fortunoffs. FH and I cannot agree on any patterns. Everything I like (dishes) he says are girly! I am going to kill him!! Did anyone else disagree alot or take someone else to register with them? I am ready to leave him home next time!!

bought mine without him! I am going to consult him only for the bed sheets and a few other things.. but he is doing the wedding planning with me

Hey John & I were in Fortunoffs shopping today!

I told him can we register all over again (I already had my shower, so I was joking) but he was like NO WAY!!!

FI came with me the first time to do the major stuff. he was happy scanning stuff. after that when i need to make changes, i leave him home!! my mom has a lot more fun that he does!!!

I did some of the resgistering with Jimmy but went back another day with my mom to finish.
Most men don't want to spend too long in the stores with this stuff.

I went with my best friend to register and them brought my FI after to show him what I picked. I would never have been able to take him because I would have murdered him. Just showing him what I picked was enough for him to get on my nervous. I say finish up the rest by yourself or with a friend.

I dont think my Fh would be into this
He probably would rather register at Babies r Us,since he thinks we can just skip getting married and just have babies

Fh had fun with the little machine at BB7B for our everyday stuff. We kind of agrred on most things. But I did fortunoff's and all our good stuff like good china, nice bedding and bathrooms stuf on my own. I knew he would disagree. Besides I am the one who beautifies our home, he has no say.

Hey we were at Fortunoff's today too! I probably passed you a million times. FH was driving me nuts. I so wanted to kill him! Plus it was very busy there today and we both hate crowds, it makes the both of us cranky! I think I will go back on my own during the week!

I just got back from FORTUNOFF's also! I went with his sister, I was the person bumping everyone with the cart!!! He has no interst in housewares, I make all the decisions about decor and appliances.

I researched what pattern beforehand to avoid the annoying decision making AT the store. I knew we would leave without registering if I waited to show him patterns AT the store.

Be happy that your man wants to go with, John refuses he doesn't care so I do everything in that dept..

Awe, Mishy! I think it's an advantage? I used to get all upset over it, and now I enjoy doing it alone.

That is why I left FI at home. But I did think of him when I registered and got a simple pattern. He actually really likes them - reminds him of southwest colors! His attitude is get what you want...

Our deal was I do all China and crystal - went with mom and he does appliances and kitchen stuff (he's the only one using them anyway). This way we got to pick what we each wanted and no one was killed in the process.

DH and I did it together and he added some really wierd stuff that we would never use...so that is where the beauty of the internet comes in. I would go online and add and delete some stuff! He has no idea what we registered for versus what we got! Everyone is happy that way!

I hear your cries!!! I had the same problem with my FH ( I wanted to strangle him). So we did some of the registry, than I finished it with my sister.

I went with my FH. It was a struggle sometimes. It took a while to figure out what we liked. we had to compromise on thing. Ultimately FH let me decide on the china pattern - it took me a while to figure out what I liked - I didn't love any pattern instantaneously.
