VENT !! Adrienne's in Islip....again...

Hi girls its been a while but I needed to vent and hear what you girls think!

I orderd my gown a year ago from adrienne's in Islip , after months of the run around , I finally get a call today that my gown is in. So I tell them I want to come and see it and try it on( tomorrow), and they tell me NO.... I was like EXCUSE ME....I told the girl I've waited a year for my dress to come in , I've given you my money and I can't come in to try it on, on a Saturday because it a busy day and you're not making a sale off me( which they probably would have because I wanted to order my veil) So she tells me that I can come in but she hopes there will be a room open for me to use... I was so mad at the way she talked to me and at the fact that I was put second because I wasn't a new bride shopping for a gown.... grr I should have given them a fake name taken the appointment and tried my gown own..... SO peeved right now...Anyone else experience this with their bridal shop or mine?

i havent heard good things about adriennes. if it were me, i would pick up the dress and take it somewhere else to get altered. and i would go elsewhere for my veil and not give them any more money! GRR sooo annoying!

thats what I told my mom I was going to do....but she can 'understand' that they want to do business on Saturday

That is exactly why I didnt go there... I've heard SOOOOO MANY horror stories about that place. I also had an experience there when I got my BM dress... they were rude and made me pay over the cap!! I was sooooooooooooo angry!!! I would take your dress and LEAVE! My friend had even more horror stories about getting her alterations done there.

Yes, I too have heard not so great things about this place.
I would go there on Sarturday and try it on and then take the gown with you and get it altered at another place. Thats NO way to treat customers. They have poor service skills because now you will tell everyone about your experience and it will turn new customers away. They have to treat the 'old' customers well to get the 'new' customers!!!!

A good business establishment doesn't BLOW OFF their customers just because they have ALREADY purchased the item... they follow through with their customers. and after you've ordered your gown, picking it up and trying it on is part of the follow through.... that is a HORRIBLE way to do business.... I agree with what someone else said.. go get your dress and be done with them.....

Completely agree.

OOOH I hate that lady. I had bad experiences with her in the past. Don't even get my mom started on the PTSA Fashion Show in High School.

Pick your dress up, drive East down Main Street and take it to Angels Bridal in East Islip.
