vent: always a different story!

after talking to 2 different people at the permit office for robert moses beach, i was assured that the only restrictions for a wedding ceremony permit were sound equipment--no microphones, speakers, or amplifiers before 8pm because lifeguards need to listen for emergencies--and parking fees before 6pm. i put our application through and got a permit that states that I can't have ANYTHING--no chairs, no acoustic music, no arch, no flowers, NOTHING. i've called them several times since i got the permit, and every single time i get some 16 year old kid who asks if they can take my information and call me back, but no one ever has!

i'm sick of dealing w/ people who (1) don't return calls and (2) don't know what the heck they're talking about half the time and should just shut up and forward the call to someone who has a clue.

apologies in advance, but i needed to vent.

That s ucks. I deal with people like that all the time, but I would be especially frustrated if it was related to my wedding!
