i just came over to my parents house and saw that my dad added railings to the front of the house, on the steps. they look so ugly! i dont know what he was thinking. plus he said nothing to my mom, she didnt even now what he was doing, we just came home and saw the railings and our jaws dropped.
so the first thing i could think of was of how our wedding pictures are going to look in front of the house. I know i'm being selfish, and it's not right when its not my house. and my dad likes them...but i really just loved our house the way it was, i didn't think it needed anything added to it, especially not a railing that sticks out like a sore thumb. the railings are white and our house is beige and our front doors are burgundy - they just dont match!
oh, i feel bad and i think its a little bridezilla-ish to be upset about it, but i am. i really dont like them, but now we have no choice but to live with them. just needed to vent.

oh my god, what a great idea! I'll definitely decorate it! thank you so much, i feel so much better right now! lol
it's totally a silly thing to be upset about, I'll be fine tomorrow, just in the moment it was such a shocking thing to see.
thanks for the tip!

omg there are so many nice things you can do with the railing! i have a black railing on my steps and i plan on wrapping it in white tulle and then at the bottom of each railing putting a decoration !
more to decorate!
Look on the bright side

you are not being bridezilla at all- i asked my family to replant the front of the house- can your dad take them down for the wedding and then put them up after?

omg your so funny cuz .....when my sis got married..my parents put ceramic tile on the staircase...and now i noticed they are speaking about getting new bdrm furniture.......
They are more concerned with my pictures than I am.....
I told them to stop cuz I want the pics to reflect how I remember the house....so I know how you are feeling....Just take pics before the fence.

My Dad has done some stuff to our yard right before our e - party that i was like OMG...but first remember it's his house...second remember that they can be painted/stained to blend a little more
and if worse comes to worse....you could always take pictures not near the ugly railings
