Vent and Praise!

Vent and Praise!

OK! I'm freaking out! I don't get a chance to log on as often as I would like to between work (where I never have a moment to go on the computer), graduate school, taking care of sick parents and a ton of other little things; but when I actually have a minute and do log on and see how much everyone has already done for their big day, I start stressing big time! How do you ladies do it?? My wedding is almost 6 months away and I have no limos, no invites, no BM dresses, no gown and ummm... I'm sure a ton of other stuff too! But I'm confident, I will get to where you all are!!!

Anyway, just wanted to say to all you wonderful, beautiful and BUSY ladies... you're an inspiration!!! I wish you all the best! Keep up the great work!!!

I don't have a gown, limos, flowers or a DJ yet.

Something that inspires me... a friend of mine put together a lavish wedding for over 200 ppl in 2 1/2 months! it CAN be done!

You sound like you have so much on your plate and your priorities in the right place with all of the balls you are juggling. My problem is is that I work from home and get more addicted to playing then actually doing my job I had to plan so much because I live far away so I dedicated two weekends to booking everything. That might help you, too. Just set aside two or three weekends and getting it all done. You'll be fine! Plus, tack on a few more weekends to just relax and take care of yourself

Thanks! I'm actually going to look at BM dresses Thursday. I have this week off due to Easter break(I'm a teacher), so I hoping this week will be a productive one, eventhough I have papers due this week too!

You do have a lot on your plate, but you'll get it done. If it makes you feel any better, we just booked the musicians Saturday, and our wedding is July 16th. We started planning in mid-January, and everything fell into place. No, we couldn't be as picky over vendors as I might have liked because of the time element, but things seem to be working out for us.

Your dress is the big thing, but there are designers who can turn them around by October. Mine is Eden, it should be ready by mid-May, and I ordered it early February.

It will all fall into place.

Re: Vent and Praise!

Actually I designed my dress and my Godmother is going to make it as her wedding gift to me. What I wanted she said will make me look too padded, I'm sort of still a big girl so I don't need anymore PADDING!!! I will go in May for my first fitting. She is going to surprise me with her additions to my preliminary sketch!
