Vent - Booked my last vendor and had a car accident! (Long- sorry)
I almost had a lovely day. My FMIL and I booked a florist (my last vendor!!!) and went shopping for the MOG dress. We were getting off the exit ramp of the parkway on the way home and some 16-year-old moron plowed into the back of my car with his truck.
The back of my car is smashed in, but thankfully we are fine (just some minor neck and back pain). Here is the kicker -- I went to the car wash this morning to celebrate the fact that after almost 5 years of car payments, my car was finally going to be paid off this week. Unbelievable!
My FH is in Lake George golfing for the weekend (I haven't told him yet) and my parents are in the Hamptons with my brother and his family. My F-in-laws could not have been better to me. They cancelled their plans for the night, ordered take-out, poured me a glass of wine and sat with me while I spoke to the insurance companies. They asked if I wanted to sleep over and wanted to drive me home when I refused. These are the nicest people in the whole world!! My own parents could not have taken better care of me.
In other news, I had a fantastic experience at the florist (Flowers by Lorraine), I am SOOO excited about my flowers. Her ideas were great and Lorraine is very easy to work with. We thought the price was good and her suggestions were terrific! Also, my FMIL surprised me by paying for everything. Amazing.
It was a bitter-sweet day, but at least my vendors are all BOOKED!!!!![]()
