VENT-FSIL's

I have less than 3 weeks until the wedding. A lot has happened to my family this year. My dad passed away 2 weeks before my original wedding date....well here we are again and I just want to make my day 'stress free.' I've been trying to do so much early so that the weekend of my wedding I can sit back, get manicure & pedicure and spend time with my family who all live OOT.

That said...

My FSIL's are 2 of my BM's...they want to help me do things to prepare. I asked 1 of them to help me with the seating arrangements for her side of the family, also asked to do some other small stuff and got a hard time from her. She's like 'It's still 3 weeks away...you have plenty of time to do this stuff. Why do you need to do this so early?'

Well, because I have to make the chair placecards myself and fold them all, I still need to finalize things with all my vendors, get hairpins, see my makeup artist again, and clean my entire house while working in Manhattan and doing a 2 hour commute each way. GEEZ!! Give me a break...why do people keep saying...'you have so much time'

I DO NOT HAVE SO MUCH TIME!!!!!!!!!

Oh no!!! I definitely understand where you feel about getting things done early. Some people just don't understand. Just try to explain why you want things done and hope that they get done.

I honestly believe that if you have 2 years or 2 weeks SOME *moron* is going to say this stupid comment to you at some time ( or for some of us over and over and over)

Do they just think this stuff magically works itself out???? seriously if people had there way we would walk around like zombies the weeks before the wedding going crazy doing everything!!!

I actually have tried not to rely on anyone for anything in this process. Unfortunately I've done all the extras myself. I am lucky that my FH has been really helpful and does all the major stuff with me. All my little extras he thinks are silly, 'but if it makes you happy, then it makes me happy.'

Thank god I am not marrying his sisters

No they are both married, one more recently...BUT she waited until the week of the wedding to finalize everything and she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I don't like to do things that way. I try to plan ahead to make my life easier...

Thanks everyone! It was you guys who motivated me to do most of my extras that will make my wedding beautiful!!
