Vent: Have to get it off my chest (long)
Its been a few weeks now, but I can finally talk about it without getting teary eyed. My bachelorette party was a nightmare!
I made the mistake of inviting a friend that almost never gets invited out. I felt bad for her and figured she needed a night out with the girls. Now I know why noone invites her out. From the second we headed into the city, she did nothing but complain the entire way about the restaurant I had chosen. She told me about every bad review and she was certain it would no different for us. She also insisted that the restaurant was nearby and we could walk. It was just relentless. Finally I lost all patience and told her she was more than welcome to walk, but I was taking a cab and I'd meet her there. She reluctantly got into the cab. When we got to the restaurant it was all good, and things started to look up. But just as we were about to leave, a few friends got into an arguement about the bill. They fought over a $5 difference. It was about 11:30 and I wanted to move on to a bar. As we walked to the bar which was only 1 block away, my maid of honor starts complaining how tired she is and that she wanted to go home. Even though, I was irritated by this point, I ignored her comments. Before we even got to the bar, she complained that there was no way in H e l l she was paying a cover charge and we should pick another bar. We hadnt even gotten to the bar yet!!! Not to mention there was no cover charge. The girls were still fighting about the $5 from the restaurant and everyone was on edge. My sister who did her very best to plan this, was starting to get upset. My maid of honor is still complaining along with the pitiful friend. I just gave in and said we should head home. I wanted to get a couple of shots in, but pitiful friend insisted we hurry to catch the 12:48 train. So with no liquor in me, we rushed to the train station. We got there at 12:40 to see that the train left at 12:35. We sat there for an hour for the next train. That one hour I could have stayed at the bar and drank my sorrows away. By the time we got back home, it was all ready 3am, and it was too late to hit local bars. My sister kept asking me if I had a good, but I lied to her to spare her feelings. She really went out of her way to plan this, and I just couldnt let her down. But I never imagined I would have such a horrendous bachelorette party. My best friend offered to take me out and have another bachelorette party, but I feel it just wont be the same. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent girls. It took me a couple of weeks to finally talk about it.![]()
