Vent: I hate when you have to waste your day away waiting .....

for someone to come to the house whether it be the phone company or the boiler guy.
Why do they give you a 4 hour gap of when they will be there? Can't they narrow it down a little?
I am wasting my whole day waiting.

They said he would be here between 12pm and 4pm. I bet he gets here right before 4pm so my whole day was wasted waiting.

we called our landlord at 10:40 because he left us 2 messages that it was extremely urgent he get into our apartment because their is some sort of leak in the lady's apartment below us

So at 10:40 he said I'll be there in 1 hour.

Yea we are still waiting. I am so mad. We have to stop our day and today is the ONLY day FI is off and wait for the landlord.

If its so urgent to get in our apartment then dont you think he would have been here already.

So now its almost 4 hours later and no landlord. I am quite annoyed

I hear that! I have been stuck home waiting for 1 contractor! These people think they are GOD! I hate them!

GRRR i hate that!!! i waited for Cablevision once, they were supposed to come between 1 and 5 . They came just as i was going out the door at 5:10!!!! I was SOOOOOOOO peeved!!!!!

THATS SOO AANNOYING !!!!!!

A few times I was able to get away with, giving them my cell # and telling them i'd be in the neighbirhood, that I had to get things done (or you can say you have to work ) and a few people have done that. I usually try to grill them and say 'I REALLY need a closer time frame, I cant spend the day waiting'

I AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been making my dad wait for all of our deliveries. So far it's been 3 different days with spand of 4 hours EACH!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRR 4 hours is a LONG time!!!!!

i was waiting for my computer delivery. I lived in a basement apt at the time, with a long hallway and stairs and a few doors between the top door and mine. the UPS guy KNOCKS on the upper door..... by the time i THOUGHT i heard something, he was walking towards his truck. I yelled after him and said 'I do have a doorbell you know!!!' (i would have been sooo mad if i missed the delivery since it was the second or third attempt)
