Vent-- I'm gonna go off the deep end (long)
I think my mom has lost it!!!!!!
After our destination wedding, FH and I are having a reception here in NY to celebrate with friends. My parents are treating the NY reception as our wedding (you know, they get to show off for their friends) even though it is JUST A PARTY.
FH and I are paying over 3K for a photographer for the dest. wedding. My parents really wanted a photographer at the NY reception too, but already gave us a nice sum of money to help us pay for the reception, and could not give more. so FH and I decided to eat the cost ourselves and we hired one. my mom said she'd give us more $ towards it if she had it.
Fast forward to today when she calls to ask me if she can give out boxes of italian cookies to the guests as a favor. I'm like, 'If you're paying for it, then fine.' So she says 'OF COURSE I'm going to pay for it.' So I say 'OK... but we already have favors covered, why do we need to give two?' So she says ' Well *I* want to give a favor. Why don't we just give mine instead, and forget yours?'
I AM SO FURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't yell at my desk cause I am at work, but how could she not help pay for the photog that she wanted, and now she's buying $300-400 worth of friggin COOKIES??? ***??????? We already have a favor!!!!!! LORD HELP ME.
