Is it just that she doesn't have the money?
Can you have your BM's plan another one with the people that you wont be able to invite?
Sorry your mother is being diffcult. If it is a money issue can your BM's help pay for it?
I think that you should be thankful for your mother even throwing you a shower. There are plenty of brides who dont have one because their partents and bridal party cant afford it.
If she is footing the bill then you have to respect her wishes......the only way around it is to maybe have your BM's chip in & through the shower 4 u.

And, you may not be meaning to say it the way it sounds, but, 'How am I supposed to get all of my gifts off of my registry,' just sounds a little selfish.
I don't know your situation w/ your mom, and I don't know if she does things to spite you, but, I would just be happy with the 50 people. You don't invite every woman who is coming to your wedding, anyway.

Not at all.
She can afford it.
She is just being spiteful cause she doesnt want to do it...I know her.
And also, I have been through A LOT and done a lot for my family...and I never ask for anything.
So its kind of hurtful to me when she tells me only 50 people when she knows my FH's family alone is 50+

I was hoping and assuming you didn't mean it like that. I wasn't trying to upset you, but as an outsider reading it,.......and, it's so hard for us to express ourselves over the internet.
Either way, I'm sorry that you're going through that w/ your mom, and I hope it all works out for you.
