Sooo one of my bridesmaids is missing in action. I mean we know where she is, she is ALWAYS busy and out with other people. I know that it is not just me and FH that she is 'neglecting' (cant think of a better word). I know this because she has cancelled plans and made excuses about why she cant do this or that with everyone!!!! blah blah blah. I am just hoping that she is going to be back around at the end of summer!! FH suggested finding a back up bridesmaid, incase she starts to get more 'flaky' (again, cant think of a better word) BUT the wedding is over a year away!
OK I feel better now.. think I just needed to get that out of my system THANKS

I am giving it the summer. But I just want to know that she STILL wants to be a part of our friend group and also a part of the wedding that she was ''' So excited '''' to be asked into! But I think she is just having a good time for summer.. I hope. If not there are 2 girls I didnt ask beacuase we were keeping the BP at 18 people so I can be honest with them and I will ask them! thanks for the advice

i'm sure she's just out having a good time for the summer...but even if that is the case, it's not so nice for her to ditch you and your group of friends. i would be upset about that...but i'd forgive too if she eventually comes around and proves herself to still be the friend you've known.
i hope she does, but if she doesn't i'm sorry and i'm glad you already have people in mind to fill her spot.

My SIL - the lawyer....too busy to even get herself measured for the dress - she did it herself...couldn't take the 2 minutes at a dress shop....but is still leaving for Greece for a vacation for 2 weeks...
AMAZES ME... I do have a backup bridesmaid in my head...but i don't think it's going to come to that - i don' t think that bridge could ever be mended if i did it...

Out of 8 BM...only two are MIA...and have been for months...I say whatever as long as neither of us holds anything against the other the next time we talk ... dont care...I know I am not soo busy this summer but I guess they are

BMs get flaky cause they think 'whats the big deal, we have sooo much time before your wedding?'
i would give her a call and say 'just wanted to make sure you are alive--haven't really heard from you too much this summer!'

I have 8 girls, all 7 got dresses but her. she keeps saying oh I don't have money, blah blah blah. yet goes out to bars or clubs everynight. such bs. so I'm leaving it as she gets her dress, or not. if it gets discontinued she pretty much kicked herself out. so I don't have to feel bad.
or waits a long time and I ask my cousin to be a jr bridesmaid or something. it'll be sad because my whole group of girlfriends are in my bridal party. she would be the only one not in it.

That is the way I feel. Although,, I think she will get her A$$ in gear- I am hopeful
