Vent! (long)

Both of my parents are re-married.Thank God. My birth father and I don't get along very well. And his wife is a b*tch. They live out of state. Anyway, my brother gets a call left on his answering machine from a cousin who lives in LA (who we haven't seen or talked to in over 20 yrs) that my father is in a hospital and had an elective procedure done,nothing that was an emergency. If we want further info we can call my father's wife.
What the *%^%! My father's wife didn't call us last time he went to the hospital either. (He's been in failing health for yrs.)Instead she has distant relatives from all the way across the US call us. I think this lady has some serious mental issues! I will wait for my brother to call her and get the scoop as I am NOT calling her! I just think it shows her lack of class to not call his kids. I could only imagine what lies she tells HIS sister and their kids so they call us. Meanwhile we are nothing but nice even though he is verbally and emotionally abusive!

I think I would call and say 'it would be nice if you could call and let us know yourself it is our father, by the time someone else calls it might take a lot longer then you picking up the phone and let me know what is happening with my father!!!'

I'm sorry Sue. I can totally sympathize since I CANNOT stand my father's wife. She is the number 1 biatch

Some people are just so strange, and are not worth figuring out. Sorry you need to deal with her.

I'm not calling her. I already had a huge blowout with her like 2 years ago because she was rude to me. My birth father is a jerk as well but I try to keep the peace and keep in touch by speaking to him a couple of times a month. He has been in failing health for several years. I have been insulted by them more times than I can ever count.
Just goes to show her lack of class! What a perfect pair.
Edited to add: My birth father has his moments when he can be very nice although they aren't very often.

My father's Bimbo does the same thing also. My father has some serious heart problems and is hospitalized often- she never calls us ever. Then my Father calls later to try to guilt us for not knowing like i am a freakin' psychic! I keep reminding him that i am his only next of kin in this state! He never married her so she has no stay and he better not wait for me to sign the consent forms for anything!
