firstly, try to calm down.
secondly, you have every right to include your FMIL in what ever you want. you need to remember that once you are married you are the one who has to split things between your mom & FMIL. with this in mind, something like not asking her to go with you to see your dress could make her feel like you don't value her opinion or that you don't want to include her.
did you mom & FMIL have a disagreement in the past that would make your mom uncomfortable with her being there??

aaah join the club.
Well, imo, i feel like parents at this time get mad over everything and can't seem to think rationally at times. I feel like they are so scared of losing us that it's easier for them to be mad then sad.
