My mother who is barely invited to the wedding is insisting on bringing some guy she just met. Me and my mother arent the closest thing my last wedding that was call off she called all the guest telling them not to attend or she will make their lives hell. This time I figured she is my mother she should atleast be invited. I am having my friends parents walk me down the aisle and everything. My mother is very selfish she only raised me till i was 14 then lost all 7 kids to their fathers and I went to live a with friends family because she became an alcoholic. So she didnt raise me, didnt show for my engagement party and is now insisting on bringing a date to my wedding. I am going to lose it. To top it all off the invites are not even in the mail yet but she keeps calling me and insisting she brings this guy i dont even know.

Stinks that you are dealing with this....the day of, you will be surrounded with people you love, and wont even be paying attention to her or whomever she brings as a date...try to shrug it off for now

this is tough.... ugh I'd almost say give her a guest to shut her up ... but I can only imagine her choice in men, and what a character this person might be...
does the FH have an opinion?
are you sure it's not to late to un-invite her? would her being there just cause you more stress?

That's tough and I totally undestand what you are dealing with. I have a few 'complicated' relatives too. I am letting an especially nutty relative bring a date because I hope the date with keep the nut occupied. Good luck!

my brother that is only a 1 1/2 younger will be there and knowing him is she misbehaves he will probably escort her out.

Don't worry your wedding is in 4 months for all you know they wont be together by that time and if she does have a date it's just some one to help carry her alcoholic butt out of your wedding I have a similar situation (not with a parent) and I'm just blowig it off as a whatever happens thing... Your going to have an amazing day
