Dont blame you- I would just not say anything and next time just say that its too bad you can't get a sitter and leave it at that.

I hate this. To me it seems to be a passive aggressive way to try and get you to invite the kid. I think saying nothing is best - it shows that you stand behind your choice!

You should fix her up with one of the teenagers you didn't invite to watch the 7 year old you didn't invite

She has 2 teenage nephews and her brother isnt coming , they could have watched him! so could her mother in law!

that sucks! I totally agree with you though. I am not having kids at my wedding either. It's unfortunate but is just the way it is for her. don't feel bad, it's not your fault

Yeah that's a super lame excuse then. I'd be annoyed

I'm so sorry ...

I think thats ridiculous ... The invite alone gives plenty of time to find a sitter. If you sent out STD's, that gives even more time! Most people I spoke with about us choosing not to have kids are thrilled about it - they want to have a good time themselves, not spend 100+ on a night they will barely enjoy bc they have to run after their kids all night. Not for nothing, if your cousin doesn't come up with a way to be there for you on your day, then I'm sorry to say, its their loss.

WOW - ya see its things like this that hurt the most!!! Dont let anyone make you feel guilty about not inviting their kid.... It is what it is, but i feel bad for you because this obviously hurts your feelings!!!

How much notice are you giving her to find a sitter??? I mean seriously - how long does it take to find someone!

IM SORRY :(

I'm sorry. I'd be annoyed too!!! She has two months to find a sitter- she should at least try!! I hate when people pull this 'I have to have my child there' bit....who the heck wants to be tied down to their little one at a wedding (no offense to parents!!). I'd want to be out on the dance floor, having a few cocktails and enjoying myself!
