VENT: stupid trainer stood me up at the gym!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom & I just joined the gym ... we had an appointment tonight at the gym for our 'first work out' with a personal trainer.

We just made the appointment on Wednesday (2 days ago). We gave the girl our cell phone numbers.

So we get there, and the guy at the desk pages her over the intercom twice, and no response. So they call her on her cellphone, and it goes to voicemail ... and she never called back.

We worked out a little on the treadmill & bicycle for a bit while we waited.

We gave her over an hour, and SHE NEVER SHOWED UP! AND SHE NEVER CALLED THE GYM BACK AND NEVER CALLED EITHER OF US.

Is she part of your gym or an independent? If she's part of the gym I would get a new trainer and tell them to add an extra session for free for your inconvienience. That's messed up. With that said- I hope she's Ok and not in a ditch somewhere.

that is really unprofessional...at least she should have called or left a note at the gym.
I would definitely get another trainer

It makes you wonder how people like that could possibly keep a client base.

We just joined the Ballys in RVC.

We are DEFINITELY going to use a different trainer, one who respects our time!

I'm still fuming a bit, it was a really bad way to start off -- especially since it was hard for us to make the commitment to join in the first place, and we're not really the gym-going type (yet .... hopefully!)

True - I do hope she is ok, I wouldn't want any harm to come to her, but I do think we are owed an excuse / apology (not that it would really change anything at this point)
