VENT!!! Target Gift Registry

Re: VENT!!! Target Gift Registry

I would definitely try for the manager, then the district manager, than the regional manager. That is BS! I would also write a letter to the store, and send one to their headquarters about the employee who 'helped' you. Letters seem to get their attention. The worker gets reprimanded and the buyer gets direct attention.
If all else fails there is always the 'Help me Howard' guy from Channel 11 news.....

Keep us posted.....

I called the number they give you. The response I got???

'No one in the entire company has the authority to take your returns.'

HA! That's EXACTLY what the supervisor told me - several times! I told her politely that I found that VERY HARD to believe, but she wouldn't budge and I finally wound up so angry that I just hung up on her...I've never hung up on someone before, so you KNOW that I was mad!

I just returned something yesterday to Target from my registry w/o a gift receipt. I had to print up the registry from their computer and she was able to return them for the price my guest paid, by using the registry. See if they can do that! i'm so sorry they gave you a hard time! Good luck!

REALLY?!?! VERY good to know! Thank you!! I'm going to mention that I know they do it on occassion during my next visit to the store! Thanks!

Thank you all for your support - I thought that I was going to explode after I got off the phone this afternoon & the venting helped a lot! I'm sorry to hear that some of you had the same (or similar) issues, though I'll definitely keep you all posted!

I would write a letter to Target corporate. I would also call again and try to speak to someone else. If I didn't get a response, I would keep sending the same letter with a bold headline at the top: Please be advised that this is the second attempt at resolving this matter via mail. And I would keep doing it. I know it seems like a lot of effort for 150 bucks, but if people don't stand up for themselves then these corporations will continually get over.

Good luck and fight the good fight!

B/S actually that is the reason I took my registry elsewhere when i found another LIW person had issues. F- them.

I am also kinda scared now with BBB with have mixed reactions to returns. It does state 100% cash back and if anyone EVEN tries to argue with me - I will contact corp. office and sit on the phone all day just to let them have it.

I registered at Target and you can return things without a receipt. If you go to one of the kiosks (where you registered) you can print out a sheet that tells you what people bought and you can return them using that as the receipt. I suggest going to a different Target. The people in Levittown were really nice.
