I hope i don't come off sounding as extremely biotchy.... But remember that wedding dress I won on ebay that I was going to wear for my e-pic shoot. Well, I got an email today from the seller saying that there was another girl watching that auction. Her FH was supposed to bid on the dress while he was at work, but he forgot!
So now, she's been sending several emails to the seller saying how she's been crying hours and hours over not having won the dress and how she really wants it. She asked the seller to EMAIL ME and ask me if I could TAKE BACK my payment so that SHE could have the dress!!!! (The seller has 100% positive ratings, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that she's not pulling some sort of scam).
First of all, if she really REALLY wanted the dress, the seller had a 'buy it now' option.
Second of all, again, if she really REALLY wanted the dress, wouldn't she have called the FH to remind him to bid on the dress?
And lastly...the dress is a Jasmine collection (not part of her couture line)....and as far as I know, it's one of the more affordable lines of wedding dresses. It wouldn't be SOOOO ridiculously expensive for her to go out and buy a new one (it's not discontinued or anything).
I told the seller to tell the girl that she could buy the dress off of me for cheap AFTER my shoot...and that's the only way she's going to get that dress (of course I said it in a polite way !!!
*UPDATE* So the seller emailed me and said that she would put me in contact with the 'other girl' so that we could work things out. In the meantime, she's mailing out my dress this coming week. Let's see if the 'other girl' ever emails me!!!

this girl sounds like a SPOILED BRAT used to getting everything she wants. I'm glad that you made that offer. If she wants it so bad, she'll do it otherwise.. do darn bad!

no i dont think that is bitchy at all! that is insane that the girl actually went out of her way to email the seller and ask you for the dress! you are right, if she really wanted it that bad she could have gotten it! lol....that is actually a pretty funny story come to think of it. i think you did the right thing...fair is fair, and you were the one who won the bid!

Well say you won the dress fairly, and i dont think the seller will do anything bc if you already won the auction and they don't sell it to you then obviously you will give them a negative review PLUS you can report them to e-bay.
I actually think that is a great idea, just tell the girl, listen i am using it in april and after that if you want i will sell it to you...If she is not happy with that then you know what just ignore it.
I mean seriously stop crying and being a baby about it, and i dont think you should even bother worrying about this jen seriously

WOW.....I cant believe that the seller even considered helping that girl and sent you an e-mail. She should have said no to her first e-mail and then that would have been that. It all sounds kinda rediculous. I think thats very generous of you to offer it back to her.

Do Jasmine dresses (non couture) cost that much?! But the bidding started at $99, with no reserve...and I was the only bidder....she never even put down a bid!

My Dad did something similar when he had his friend sell his golf clubs on ebay (my dad couldn't figure out how to post it). So when my dad was watching the clubs sell for less than he wanted, he outbid everyone....(since he didn't post them, he was using a different screename....do ya follow?). That way he kept the clubs and tried selling them again for more. Granted he didn't let someone else win and then have them retract their bid (thats shady!!), but still....that's what Im thinking.

OMG BON i think you are 100% right...you know why, i know quite a few ppl who sell things on e-bay and do things like this, they have others bid on an item, like someone they know, to get the price up...and if it ends up being the highest then its no problem, bc its their friend who they told to do this and dont expect the friend to buy it.
JUST KEEP IT!!!!!! and if you want, since you wont use it after the e-shoot sell the dress on e-bay not the person emailing you.
