VENT - what is so hard to understand about an RSVP?

Everyone received my invites for my e-party. A relative emailed me to RSVP and said 'we hope to be there.' What does that mean????? Are you coming or not??!!?? We have to order food and I need a yes or a no, not an answer that indicates you will show up if you have nothing better to do that day!!!!!

Another person called up to decline and said they can't come because they no longer travel. But a few months ago they went on a cruise! You can't take the train a few stops and a taxi for $10?

But just wait until your wedding, it gets even WORSE.

Yeah gotta love the VAGUE responses. I got one of those for my Eparty but it was because they were ill & werent sue how they would be feeling at the timeof my party. So maybe thats a reason why??? Who knows it is annoying!

I hear you! My E Party invites went out the first week of May. I have made the RSVP dates on 6/1. I have 57 people coming out of 94 which is good but some people have given me half assed answers. It's really annoying. I wish they could just call and say yes or no.
