Vent - Why is it that

ok so talk to us! what's holding you back? What are some concerns/wants/visions for your RH?

i'm pretty impressed that you found all your vendors already! We have our RH and church booked and that's it so far. Feeling very overwhelmed with the next part of figuring out who our vendors will be!

Wow, I'm impresed as well, I can't even narrow down any ideas, its driving me crazy!?

Have you seen a lot of RH's yet? what are the pro's and con's of each? We went into it pretty sure we knew we wanted Giorgio's, we just weren't sure about the price. We didn't get to see a lot in Western Suffolk or Nassau area.

I'm the complete opposite, I have the church and RH and that's all.

Which places have you looked at so far?

I told you to go look into Meditterean Manor!!! I'm telling you it was so nice there for such a good price.


The only thing I can recommend is to keep searching until you fall in love!

ok there were pros and cons to both and I will give you the run down

CLM - is in lindenhurst and we live down the block, fh wasnt crazy about the food and I worry about more than 1 wedding at a time there. great photo opportunities and would get married in the church like fmil wants if we have it there

SC - we could only afford it on a thursday but we get so much from them, we really want to be on the water and its a little further than we had wanted it to be from the majority of our guests, and i worry about photo opportunities. cannot get married in church like fmil wants if we get married there

I know the wedding would be wonderful at either place but its hard to pick which one is right for us.

I also want to go see Med. Manor, Crest Hollow and Lombardi's on the bay but idk if it will help or confuse me more and I would rather see it without all this stupid snow that doesnt seem to go away. I'm sorry I'm such a complainer but no one else will listen to me thank you ladies<3

CRASHING...... Have you looked at the Bayview House in Bay Shore? The pics online aren't great but once you see it in person you may like it. Its on the water and has more of a 'tent like' feel to it. I was looking for a lot of the same things you are and fell in love right away. Check it out.

It is considered to be at Captain Bills but its actually a seperate building. My friend kept telling me about it and I didn't want it because I thought it was Captain Bills but once we got there we learned it wasn't in the same place. If you were to look at it right now, the cocktail hour piece is taken down since its winter. But normally the tent part is up.

I Loved the Bay View House, FH didn't so much but it is really beautiful. I love that you can see all the boats in the water from the windows.

Definitely go see more places. That is how you know what you want.

Try North Ritz Club (not on water but I got a great deal with them), The Venetian Yacht Club, Lombardi's on the Bay, Riviera in Massapequa

I recommend you just keep looking! You'll know it when you see it! It'll all just come together for you. Go see places in person..pictures don't do many of the places their due justice and sometimes you'll find the opposite. I went to one RH because the pics looked beautiful and then when I went, I was extremely disappointed!

You get to see all the details pictures don't always capture. For example, my FH was dead set against carpeting for our RH. But, when we visited the place we ended up booking, he loved it because it wasn't the obnoxious 'cascino type carpeting' he kept thinking all RHs had. The room just took our breath away, carpeting and all

The Med Manor really is the best place to look. At least go to there next showcase.. you'll see me there!!! The Food is AMAZING and the price you really cant beat!

Well you know that I love Crest Hollow! It is amazing. But obviously I am biased.

My friend got married at the Bayview House and I thought it was really nice. I know you guys like the water. Have you thought about looking at Bridgeview in Island Park. I have not been there in a while but I hear it is really nice. It is right on the water in Nassau.

I do not know how many people but if it is 150 or under maybe look at Danfords. I liked it there but it was too small for us/ .
