venting

venting

sorry guys i just need to vent to someone other than my family and friends who've had enough of me lol..this has been stressing me out like you wouldn't believe--there are two dresses I'm choosing between. The first one is under my budget and I could see myself wearing but I'm not totally sold on it because I keep thinking about the other dress which is over budget. Its not so much about the price difference in this case but the one I feel more glamorus in (the more expensive) is a lot busier with beading than the other, and i sometimes think it may be too showy. whereas the cheaper dress is more simple and classic. I've showed these dresses to family/friends and they all tell me they like both on me. Now, do I slurge on the dress I like more even if every1 likes the cheaper on me just as much? I am also afraid that I'll regret spending so much on it later on, when the other dress can do the same job. I also want to add that I posted pics on here yesterday with a poll and more people liked the simplier inexpensive dress. Any advice? Have any of you had dress regret and why?

I know how you feel in a way. I didn't want to spend more than 1k on my dress. After alterations, my dress will be much closer to 2k. but I HAD to have it. It was the perfect dress for me.

I know everyone says you only wear your dress once. but at the same time, you only get married once- why not do it the way you want? Go with the dress that you feel the best in.

If anything, try to skimp a little on shoes, DOJ, and veil to make up for it.

you have to buy what YOU love. I thought I was in love with a dress and kept shopping around and found a dress I had to have. In the end, you must feel the most comfortable in it. I did go over budget with my dress but had to have it.

I was in the same predicament last weekend. Both dresses were in my budget, but one was much more expensive than the other....about twice as much. My mother, sisters, FSIL ,and FMIL all like the less expensive one better, but also loved the more expensive one.

In the end, I chose the more expensive one because I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I personally felt it was more 'me' than the other, even if other people liked the first one better.

You have to go with the one YOU feel better in. Which one do YOU like more?

I'm also cutting back now on the price of shoes, veil, headpiece, etc to make up for the extra money spent on the gown.

PS- I remember the dresses and I honestly liked the second one better, but it's because I'm more into the glitzy ones with tons of beading. If you see my gown you'll understand what I mean
