Venting... Did anyone else feel this way?

Venting... Did anyone else feel this way?

I never knew TTC would be such an emotional roller coaster. I'm in that 2 week waiting period right now, and today I am sooo depressed/upset because I'm pretty sure that I'm not pregnant. AF has not come yet, but I don't feel pregnant either. Everyday I feel different. I mean I always wish I was pregnant, but some days I feel so horrible because I'm not pregnant, and wonder why and what's wrong with us? Other days I feel like, I'm not going to get upset, there's always next month. But honestly, that's too far away to me right now. I don't know how to stay content. I want to be pregnant sooooooooo bad!!! Everyday seems to be so long when you're TTC. I'm not trying to sound selfish or anything. I just didn't expect to feel so sad right now. I just want to be pregnant with you guys!

Calm down sweety. Stress effects your ability to conceive. It will happen, dont worry. Just think of it as your body is waiting for the perfect sperm to make you the perfect baby. I know you dont want to hear it but next month is less than 30 days away. Just be patient

I'm sorry Melissa.I'm sure the waiting is really difficult. I think you are putting too much pressure on yourselves. Try to just relax and try not to think about it and it will happen.

I know 2 different couples who were ttc for a year or longer and just when they stopped putting the pressure on themselves and gave up,they got pregnant!

It is difficult. I hate it too. You want something so much and you just can't understand why it won't happen. But it's perfectly normal to take up to a year to get pregnant. Even two perfectly normal, healthy people can take that long.

It doesn't help that some folks get pregnant right away and the rest of us have to wait. But you know what? We'll appreciate it so much when it does happen and cherish that moment b/c we know how long it took. Plus it gives us a little longer to prepare.

I am right with you. I should get my AF today or tomorrow but it seems like I ovulated very late this cycle so I might not get it until this weekend -- now I'm really emotional b/c I don't want to get my hopes up by not getting my period this week b/c it's probably just a delay from ovulating later than I normally do.

I want to take a test but then I don't -- b/c I don't want to be disappointed again!

So I'm trying to be patient. It is wearing me down a bit and I've thought about not 'trying' next month and just seeing what happens. But it's hard when I've been charting for 3 months and trying for 5 months to just stop.

I really would suggest taking your temps and charting b/c that would tell you if you are ovulating and you can have good tracking info so that if it does take a long time you have good information to bring to your doctor to seek help.

All I can say, is I have been in this same position and it is the hardest 2 weeks. I never knew how much it 'hurt' to get your AF until I was TTC.
All I can say is to hang-in-there and make sure you keep up your charting and eating healthy. A few girls said that when AF came they would have a few drinks and do stuff 'prego' women cannot. That helped them a bit.

Melissa, I'm right there with you! We've been TTC for over a year. I've been through countless tests, surgery, fertility drugs and now we are doing IUI's. The 2WW is pure torture. Last month I was 7 days late for AF, and I am NEVER late. I went as far as getting a blood test b/c hpt's were negative, and an hour after they called to tell me it was also negative, AF showed.
Its hard, especially when all my friends are pg and having babies now. But, I know that it WILL happen for us, and for you too!

Re: Stef28...

Thanks everyone!

Hey Stef... I'm right along with you. My AF is suppose to show tomorrow, but I also believe I ovulated late this month too, so AF might not show until later on this weekend. So, I'm feeling the same way right now because, if AF doesn't show this week it's also because I ovulated late. I'm doing a good job not getting my hopes up. I know AF will show... I just don't have a good feeling about this month. Even though my DH and I did it at the best times this month. I've never taken a PG test since we started TTC. I've taken them before when we weren't trying, and I know how devastated I was thinking I was pregnant, but I wasn't. I could only imagine how I'll feel if I took one now! I really want to... just in case, but I don't want to be disappointed either. Well, good luck to you, and I hope you get the BFP soon!!!
