Venting - stitches again!

not sure if any of you remember but about 2 weeks ago i had a biopsy on my back and ended up with 5 stitches....so last week on thurs i had the stitches removed - everything looked ok - but by sunday night i had a hole in my back - it ended up opening up - it was horrible - on monday i had to go to work like that b/c the doctor couldnt see me until yesterday - i was so upset - it hurt, looked disgusting - and all i did was cry - so yesterday morning i went to the doctor - they had to re-cut it to freshn the edges and stitch it closed again - it was excruciating, tons of pain - when it was over i went to stand up and almost passed out so i couldnt drive home or go to work - by the time i got home i was in so much pain, it felt like someone was burning my back with matches i took percocet which relieved ALL the pain and i was able to get comfortable enough to sleep all day and night - today its not too bad but i am so afraid its not going to stay closed - im at work and im afraid to move to do anything......this time stitches have to stay in for full 2 weeks....please pray that everything works out okay for me - so here i was thinking i could get back in the gym but NOPE - no gym for me for the entire month of July this is soooo depressing........and tomorrow we are going out (we'll be engaged 1 yr tomorrow) and it ***** because im in pain and cant really move around that much - i was hoping to have a nice romantic night and now instead of being healed its like starting all over again with the stitches...

so basically im just venting and asking for your prayers that this stays closed and heals nice this time

Hopefully this time the stiches will stay in. I'm soo sorry to hear they opened up. Just think..one you get the stiches removed you'll be bale to be at the gym everyday. In the meantime maybe you can just do the relaxing parts of yoga...the breathing/meditation exercises...that'll take your mind off the sitches and you'll be doing something that focus on your mind and your body.

I am so sorry. FH had soemthing like that. He had a Cyist on his upper back and when they removed it it didn't heal very well and it hurts him alot and the scar is horrible. He has a tattoo on his upper back and the doc said he would go around it but he didn't and now it looks so bad.

thanks chicas! i still cant believe that it opened up after the stitches came out they were only in for 9 days last time so this time they will stay in for 2 weeks....its such a bummer though - its like having the procedure done all over again

oh no! i'm so sorry you must be so upset that it opened and youre back on square 1 with the healing process!!!

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope it heals well this time...try to be really careful. Don't worry about the gym right now...you're beautiful! Take care of yourself with this, and then you can go back to the gym.

OMG Nik, that's horrible! I'm sorry you're going through this...they should leave the stitches in longer this time!
