Venting *update*

So some of you know that I lost my teaching job at a private school bc of budget issues. Anyway, i did work one day in the pay period but never got my check this week. So I called the school and the principal will not return my calls. The secretary told me that she said my check is not coming from payroll (makes no sense since I did work, where the heck is it coming from) that she has to wait for the accountant to come in so they can cut me a check. So I said ok when will that happen, the secretary didnt know. So I left 3 messages for the principal, I have yet to hear from her.

If I dont hear from her by Friday afternoon, I am filing a complaint with the department of labor that she is withholding my money. I checked the law and I was due my money on the regular payday...I'm really annoyed at this, it isnt a ton of money but I worked for it and it is my money.

sorry for the long rant, im just freaking annoyed.

I would but supposedly the check isnt coming from payroll, I dont even know what that means. This lady is messing with me. I think she was trying to get by on not paying me.

you have every right to be upset! i would get in contact with a higher authority, in this case, i dunno the archdiocese? or is that too extreme... sry, i havent been in catholic school in a longg time hehe

Yeah or just ask them point blank if they will handle it by (insert date) if you should have your lawyer contact them. Just be firm, set a date and follow through.
