Vent...Mom is telling everyone that we

are having infertility problems and asking for their advice! DH & I have been trying, but have not been successful! I had back surgery a few years ago and every once in a while, it goes out -- leaving me in a lot of pain and unable to 'try'

So in reality, we haven't really been trying very long and have not even felt the need to see the DR about it yet.

So why must she spread such horrible 'rumors' about us and why does everyone need to know we are trying!

I am so upset with her -- I told her she will be the last to know now!

Did you tell her that it upset you that she was telling everyone your personal business? I suggest having a heart to heart with her and letting her know just how upset this makes you. You think she would know better, but moms will be moms! Sorry!

My mom did this too! She would call me up and say, 'I met this woman in and she said her daughter had trouble getting pg and she said to go to b/c they are the best and she is now pg...'. This happened about once a week! She told everyone!

In fact, I went to get my eyebrows shaped and the woman said to me, Oh, I hear you are having trouble getting pg, I'm so sorry...'!

So I feel your pain!!!!

I did tell her and she got VERY defensive. This is not the first time! She has diaharrea of the mouth. My Mother spends her entire evening on the phone gossiping. She tells me things she shouldn't. DH told me I had to learn from the experience and just remember not to tell her anything that I want kept a 'secret' I am resentful because I want to have the type of relationship with my mother that I CAN go to her to talk about these things. I feel horrible not trusting her, but she has left me no choice. I also feel sad because it would be nice to have a mom around when I AM finally experiencing becoming a MOM myself...or if heaven forbid...I cannot conceive on my own. It would feel better if I had her support.

I hope she stops. I'm sorry she is talking about things she shouldnt. I hope you made her understand and she doesn't continue to tel people things like that, true or not.

OMG are we sisters? This sounds JUST like my mom!! I cant give you advice because I have yet to figure out how to stop her.
I just wanted to let you know you are not alone!

I would tell her how you feel, you dont want to start resenting her for this, and I would feel hurt too!

I am so sorry to hear that she is doing that to you!!! That is so not fair.

This is why we did not tell anyone we were TTC again after our miscarriage.
