Vent/opinions needed!
Okay so I coach comeptitive high school cheerleading and FH's sister is on the varsity team. (That's actually how we met). A lot of the girls I coach are also on a competitive allstar team. The competition schedules for both teams are very intense, making it very difficult to give my mom available days for possible shower days. There was only 3 days I could give her. When I got my competition schedule I gave it to my mom asap. Apparently she decided on a day and called my FMIL to make sure it was okay. FMIL said that day sounds good. So my mom went on with the plans and put a nonrefundable deposit down for the shower....
Apparently yesterday my mom called FMIL again to give her more details and now FMIL turns around and says her daughter (who is in the bridal party) has a competition so she doesn't think she will be able to make it. This prompted my mom to call FH and tell him that she thinks its very important for his sister to be there and if he could talk to her about it. So FH calls his mom and tells her he really thinks his sister should miss to competition and come which sends her into a tail spin about how he should be siding with her not my mom. Then he calls me venting about how he doesn't want to deal with it. FUN TIMES.
The moral of this story is I feel as though I know better then ALL of them since I actually coach one of the teams. We have a sucessful program which we take very seriously but let's be honest these girls are NOT going to be professional cheerleaders and sometimes there are things that you should miss high school sports for....am I wrong???
