Venty vent vent vent

I know we're all probably feeling the same way, so feel free to chime in..

I know I dont have half the things done that most of you girls have checked off on your list already..but im still getting the 'you have so much time' 'You have everything done already' from my friends and it just makes me p-oed. i dont wanna be mean, but they're not planning a wedding, so they dont know how much time and preparation goes into it...its not just a dress and reception hall..there are a lot of details to work out and if i wanna start doing things more than a year before, let me be and be happy for me, give me suggestions, or maybe, just maybe pretend to be the slightest bit interested

and thats my story..thanks for letting me get that off of my chest.

yup....nobody knows until they do it......just smile and say thats just how i want it and let it roll off your back

i had thought i could wait on stuff till next year....

boy was i wrong apparently 7-11-09 is a popular day i'm glad we booked RH when we did since the few others we were going to look at were already booked.

i have some people telling me i have plenty of time to do things but the way i see it is i'd rather make sure everything is taken care of rather than worry last min that things need to be done.

My mom was just saying to me I have time ..... I was telling her I want to do my unity candle now and yes I do have time but, I have alot of other things to do that is NWR and want to get what I can out of the way now.
But we will do things our way

You're definitely not alone! You are right on time! Your 1 year mark is in less than a month!! This is why I love the boards

Please don't think you're the only one, people tell me I have a ton of time and we only have 8 months and change. You do what you need to do and get it done when you want, don't listen to anyone else, just smile, thank them for their input and go about your business!

You are def not alone....we have a friend that is getting married in a couple of weeks and when we hang out with a particular group they are always comparing how far in advance I have booked my vendors...HAHA...the first couple of times they said that but now it just pisses me off!

FH doesn't help the situation b/c his attitude is 'whatever'which erks the $#*@ out of me...but I guess that's a typical guys response

yeah it's really annoying when people keep saying the same things over and over to you. first it's -you have so much time- and then in a few months, they'll be like-ohhh getting close, it's coming so fast.- don't listen to anyone, the sooner the better when it comes to wedding planning, we all know this!
