venue closer to queens ny??

Hi Everyone. I was engaged few months ago and we are planning to get marry oct/nov 2014. Am I too late to be looking for venues right now? we both live in woodside queens and we'd like somewhere not too far but in long island. any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. :)

check Russo's on the bay or Vetro both in Howard beach. Sand Castle& westbury Manor aren't to fare from queens.

thanks for the suggestions :) did some research yesterday and i really liked sandcastle and jericho terrace. does anyone have any ideas price wise?

JT was I think $85/ pp ++ for aFri night in feb ( which I was told was the cheapest month ! )

Westbury manor gives u way more food and they said $67/pp ++ for feb again cheapest month!
we loved the JT too but it was $17k for 150 people to just eat and drink that was a bit out of our budget and I also didn't like where the bathrooms were in relation to the room we would have used.

never made it to the sand castle or floral Terrece but my aunt's steps son in law got married there and loved it!

if u want in queens go to long island catering halls. com and there is a queens tab to see venues in queens! oh also sites and services. com too!

thanks bunch for the info :) is it true that the more guest u have, u get better deal? we have roughly 250 bue im trying to cut down to 200..ish.
do u know what kind of food they serve at westbury..i knw JT is mostly italian.

try riccardos by the bridge my parents got married there like 49 years ago and they are still in business its in queens and its still run by family and very reasonable!

The Metropolitan in Glen Cove!!!!! Price is incredible, and it's not far from Queens at all :). We live in Howard Beach, and didn't want to go too far into Long Island. Russo's wasn't on our radar because we can see it from our bathroom window. LOL

I'm from Woodside! Small world. We are having the ceremony in Woodside and chose Chateau Briand. It's close enough to Queens.

lol we r having ceremony in woodside also and reception in jericho terrace. :)
